It’s the thought that matters

I really treasure the things given to me even if that thing will seem to be of no use. Others may interpret this as wrong to keep the things not needed when it can benefit other people who will find it useful. It’s the thought of receiving the gift from the giver which will remind me of the memories that comes with the gift and not the utility or value of the gift which matters most to me. And if somebody will ask from me the thing which I received, I’d rather buy him a new one instead of giving that thing which is mine and loss the memories permanently.
